Frown Lines Anti-Wrinkle Injections
"1 area £110"
"2 areas £180"
"3 areas £200"
Anti-wrinkle injections (such as Botox and Azzalure) act as a muscle relaxant to help prevent and soften lines by reducing the effects of the muscles that cause them, for example: wrinkles that appear on the forehead from frowning, between the eyes, crow's feet, etc
These are the frown lines between your eyebrows, sometimes also called number 11 lines due to their appearance being similar to two parallel lines, which can lead to an "angry" looking appearance when severe.
However, both the ageing process and repetitive facial expressions can lead to these frown lines becoming deep creases, more prominent, or not disappearing at rest — which can leave you looking permanently angry, stern or tired, even when you're not!
How do Anti-wrinkle Injections help
Anti-wrinkle injections using Botox or Azzalure can help to relax the muscles that cause these frown (glabellar) lines, resulting in a smoother, more youthful and refreshed appearance.
If your frown lines are not there all the time, Botox/Azzalure injections can also be used to help prevent these lines from developing, before they become more noticable in the first place!
When will I see the effects?
You should start to see/feel the effects of Botox and Azzalure between your eyebrows after 3 to 5 days, but it typically takes up to 2 weeks before the full effect is achieved. A free review appointment is usually made at this time, where the effect can be fully assessed by Doctor Alex, and topped-up if necessary. Men typically need a higher dose of Botox than women.
How long do
Anti-Wrinkle Injections last
Botox and Azzalure injections to the glabellar region usually last between 3 to 6 months before the next treatment is required.
Is it painful?
No. You may feel a slight pinprick sensation as the area is injected. We use a specialist needle called the TSK invisible needle, you can still see it :) but its very small. We can also apply special numbing cream beforehand if you are worried about this.
How long is recovery time?
More or less immediate recovery — it can be performed in your lunch break! As a needle is used for the injection, there is a chance you may get a small amount of bleeding/bruising, which usually resolves after a few days.
